Prince Announces Piano & A Microhphone Residency

Due to the November Paris attacks, Prince postponed his previously scheduled Piano & A Microphone Tour which was set to hit a number of European countries throughout November and December of 2015.

Now, Prince has rescheduled his special tour plan at one specific venue, Paisley Park. Paisley Park is a special place for Prince as it is home record label studio and practice space located in Chanhassen, Minnesota. Prince built this establishment in 1985 in support of his record label launch supported by Warner Brothers, also known as Paisley Park Records.

Here Prince has recorded eight studio albums from 1985 to 1993, as well as performing a few showcasing events of his music. Now, you can see the renowned multi-instrumentalist perform two sets of a lifetime with only a single piano and one microphone. Prince will be playing at Paisley Park January 21st, 2016 with two carefully crafted performances from his 39-album catalog. The event is scheduled to take place at 8:00 PM followed up by a second performance at 11:00 PM.

A press released statement, “For those lucky enough to attend, everything about these exclusive solo performances has been carefully considered to deliver special once-in-a-lifetime experiences. The repertoire list will be culled from Prince’s vast 39-album catalog and each performance will have a unique set-list that evolves in real time song-to-song.  Fans should expect to witness special interpretations of well-known hits, alongside rarely performed B-sides and new never-before-heard material.”

Arcade Fire and Preservation Hall Jazz Band Honor David Bowie

Today January 16th, 2016 New Orleans based Preservation Hall Jazz Band and the renowned Arcade Fire will be honoring David Bowie's recent death with the ultimate second line parade featuring the two bands along with anyone in the public who wants to join the party.

Father John has absolutely blown up this past year from guest features in Aziz Ansari's Original Netflix series Master of None to international coverage and successful tours leading him to his all around bookings for the upcoming festival season.

Bassnectar Announces First Festival

The DJ who has brought his face to almost every single festival around the world and the man who brings bass heads everywhere he goes, Bassnectar, has finally revealed the plans for the 2016 festival he calls Bass Center.

The annual two day festival will be taking place July 29th - 30th, 2016 at the beautiful DSG Park in Commerce City, Colorado. The lineup is absolutely stacked with renowned artists including Lupe Fiasco, Porter Robinson, Flying Lotus, Flux Pavilion, and the legendary Wu-Tang Clan. Bassnectar will also be performing two extended long sets while bringing the future in lighting, camping, and music to all his fellow bass heads.
