Why III Points Needs To Be In Your Future

III Points Music, Art, & Technology Festival embarked on their fourth annual event this weekend October 7th - 9th, 2016 in Mana Wynwood Miami, Florida. Although our home state dealt with a number of mishaps last week with Hurricane Matthew, III Points threw the best Hurricane Party of all time.

The weekend started off with an unfortunate cancellation of the Friday night headliner LCD Soundsystem. With the festival still in full force, the magic never stopped as dedicated attendees made their way to the infamous entrance starting their weekend off with artists including Twelve'len, Vince Staples, Chrome Sparks, Danny Daze, Dixon, Indigochildrick, Benoit & Sergio along with many more.

Our experience quickly became one for the books when we learned how important it is to make everything you can of the circumstances given to you. It's essential to take life by your own hands and do as much as possible with what's in front of you. Now what was in front of you, was absolutely surreal.

III Points can be described as taking a step into the future. The festival provides a new wave of sounds, art, and an entire new generation of music. To the norm, the music III Points takes pride in producing may be a bit different than what you're used to but let us reassure you this is the music you WANT to get used to.

Saturday was full of heavy hitting acts such as DIIV, Junior Boys, Thee Oh Sees, Method Man & Redman, Black Coffee, Thievery Corporation and more. If you attended Saturday night, then you know exactly what we're about tell you.

Love was in the air Saturday at III Points and oh do we miss it. The flow was so smooth you could lick the floor like candy, in fact you may have even seen people doing that. Method Man & Redman put on what one of the strongest performances the entire weekend and threw the crowd back in time playing everything from original Wu-Tang Clan material to the legendary collab tracks they are heavily known for.

Thievery Corporation headlined Saturday night beginning their set at 11:15 PM on the Mind Melt Stage and from the very beginning people were off their feet. Thievery Corporation is a special group that has the talent to switch genres of music and themes for their individual tracks leaving all festival goers able to relate. Our most memorable moment of the entire weekend was vibing to "Sweet Tides" before the end of their set and nothing will ever compare to seeing the crowd react to such an emotional and beautiful song.

Make your way over to the Sector 3 Stage and it's now 1:00 AM with all hell breaking lose. Thee Oh Sees was one of the most anticipated acts from the very beginning and they brought the exact energy III Points was looking for. Bumping into plenty of friends while taking photos was one of the best times of my life and a special moment I will never forget. It's breathtaking relating to so many people in an intimate festival like III Points.

In our eyes, Sunday night was just as special with artists coming from all over including Dawn of Midi, Jessy Lanza, M83, Flight Facilities, Denzel Curry, Trick Daddy, Flying Lotus, Cam'ron and so many more.

Although Sunday was the last day of the festival, it actually felt like a new beginning. You see, this year III Points hit a new tier of producing events and the 2016 festival was nothing short of the most successful gig to ever hit Wynwood. M83 headlined the Mind Melt Stage at 7:15 PM and watching the crowds flood the main stage was simply heart warming.

The notorious French band brought the feels to another degree and had the crowd in a complete awe. M83 was an act we had never experienced before and it was literally the experience of a lifetime. Your state of mind is immediately at ease forgetting what problems you may be going through and enjoying the vibes around you. Denzel Curry began his set shortly after at the Main Frame Stage. Curry and his 305 crew nearly brought the roof down with hits like "Zone 3", "Threatz", and "Ultimate". We are not kidding you when we say the crowd lost their minds.

Everyone from the staff, security, volunteers, sound/lighting crew, artists, and concert goers were all on the same exact page. That page was having fun and making sure everyone around was doing the exact same. We had such an amazing time engaging with a variety of III Points team members and it's amazing to see a hard working crew like this bring such happiness to the city of Miami and surrounding areas.

III Points is nothing short of the time of your life and we HIGHLY ABSOLUTELY POSITIVELY RECOMMEND hitting this festival in the coming years! III Points isn't going anywhere so get your hiney on their site and see what other events they are hosting year round at the beautiful Mana Wynwood in Miami, Florida. Stay tuned for an entire updated photo gallery here.

THANK YOU III POINTS FOR MAKING YOUR WEEKEND A HOLIDAY OF MUSIC!
