Summer Smash 2023 Drops Biggest Lineup Yet

Summer Smash, the Midwest's Premier Hip Hop music festival brought to you by Lyrical Lemonade and SPKRBX returns to Illinois June 23rd - 25th expanding to the Seatgeek Stadium. Chance The Rapper Reveals Special Olympics Anniversary Event

Chicago Native, singer-songwriter, positive influence in local charity and schools, Chance The Rapper, has now announced an entire new event dedicated to celebrating the Special Olympics being in operation for fifty years. 

Celebrating their 50th Anniversary, Chance plans on benefiting and donating sales to the Special Olympics and his youth empowerment charity Social Works. Today the young man has revealed an eclectic lineup that of performers such as himself Chance The Rapper, Usher, Francis and the Lights, Smokey Robinson, Jason Mraz, Daya, O.A.R., and plenty of special guests to be announced.

Special Olympics 50th Anniversary Celebration Concert will be taking place on Saturday July 21st at the Huntington Bank Pavilion on Northerly Island Chicago, Illinois. Pitchfork Music Festival is taking place all weekend July 14th - 16th at the infamous Union Park in Chicago, Illinois. Lucky for us, the online phenomenon turned into annual event is available to live stream each day.

Vic Mensa Releases New Music Video "16 Shots"

Chicago based American hip hop artist, Vic Mensa, has released a new music video from his recent 2016 EP, There's Alot Going On. The new visual supports the track "16 Shots" and is in reference to the unfortunate police shooting of Laquan McDonald in Mensa's hometown of Chicago.

The music video has been brought to us by director Ace Norton and is only available to was on the Tidal streaming service. Vic went for a first person theme and point of view as it follows dash cam footage from officers on scene. You can listen to the track "16 Shots" below and watch the video in it's entirety here.
