The Strokes New Album

The Strokes Release 'The New Abnormal'

New York’s very own, The Strokes, have just released their sixth studio album titled ‘The New Abnormal’ under RCA Records. This comes six years after their full length ‘Comedown Machine’ and is the first release since the Future Present Past EP.

The anticipated album was entirely produced by Rick Rubin, while the group recorded at his Shangri-La Studios located in Malibu, California. The album cover art was changed prior to the release and is now a painting titled “Bird on Money” and pays tribute to the great Jean-Michel Basquiat, a late neo-expressionist New York artist who passed away at the young age of 27 years old in 1988.

If you’re itching to catch The Strokes live, they will be performing at our hometown’s III Points Festival October 16th in the heart of Wynwood Miami, Florida. Find all of of your ticket information HERE.

In the meantime, listen to The Strokes’ ‘The New Abnormal’ in it’s entirety below.
